This is something that could be straight out of "The Jetsons" -- strap on a jet pack and go flyboarding over the waters of the Peconic River.
The contraption is a water-powered skateboard of sorts that shoots out powerful streams of water, letting the wearer not only "fly," but also hover in the air, dive into and shoot out of the water like a dolphin. It's an extreme water sport that's open to beginners at Treasure Cove Resort Marina in Riverhead. Lifejackets are provided; $199 for 30 minutes.
