Breweries have become a go-to hangout. Beer lovers gather to try new seasonal servings on tap. However, certain venues provide you with something to do while enjoying your brew. Here are five alternate activities to try this fall:

Beer and Bingo is a regular pairing in the tasting room at Great South Bay Brewery in Bay Shore on Wednesdays.

"You buy a pint and you get a board. There’s a two-board max; some of our patrons like to double fist," says events coordinator Dani Zaragoza. "Believe it or not, it gets very competitive. People come with their game face on."

Contestants compete for a variety of prizes such as mixed four-packs, pint glasses and T-shirts as well as free rounds. The grand finale prize is a $100 gift card and there’s no cover charge to play.

Over 25 beers ($7-$8 per pint) are available on tap such as house classics like Jetty Honey Ale or Blonde Ambition Ale. For those who get the munchies, food truck Tachoe serves up different styles of tacos.

WHEN | WHERE Wednesdays from 7-9 p.m., Great South Bay Brewery, 25 Drexel Drive, Bay Shore

Test your knowledge while taking in the tap beer at Greenport Harbor Brewing Company’s Trivia Thursdays at the Peconic location.

"We use a different theme for every round featuring 10 questions. There’s a music round for the fourth and final round," says bartender Dylan Van Gorden.

Teams of six can partake at separate tables in the tasting room, which holds up to 200 people. With 14 draft lines ($7-$9 per pint) and a full food menu, all customers can enjoy dinner while they are free to play. The first place winner gets a $25 gift card.

WHEN | WHERE Thursdays from 6-8 p.m., Greenport Harbor Brewing Company, 42155 Main Road, Peconic

Grab a brew and get behind the mic in Patchogue at the BrickHouse Brewery’s Karaoke Thursdays. DJ Justin emcees the weekly event in the bar area.

"Everyone singing can choose whatever style of music they want — country, rock, standards or whatever," says general manager Pat Murphy.

Fifteen beers on tap ($8 per pint), a late-night bar menu (quesadillas, burgers, fries, wings) and an open dance floor make up the recipe for a playful evening with no cover charge.

WHEN | WHERE Thursdays from 9-11:30 p.m., BrickHouse Brewery, 67 West Main St., Patchogue

Sit back and relax with a pint fresh off the tap at Peconic County Brewing in Riverhead while listening to local artists perform acoustic covers.

"The idea is to offer live music, but not too loud because we want people to be able to have a conversation," says owner Jeff Schaeffer.

The tasting room overlooks the Peconic River featuring 10 draft beers ($7-$8 per pint) to choose from as well as a full kitchen serving everything from lobster rolls and burgers to giant pretzels and crispy hot chicken sandwiches.

WHEN | WHERE Fridays from 5-8 p.m., Saturdays from 2-9 p.m. and Sundays from 2-5 p.m.; Peconic County Brewing, 221 East Main St., in Riverhead

Enjoy some stand-up in between sips at Jamesport Farm Brewery which hosts a monthly comedy night featuring a trio of comedians during a 90-minute show ($13 per ticket).

"We get a variety of comics from New York City, Long Island and other places," says tasting room manager Ashley Dunlop. "It’s usually held on the first Wednesday of the month."

Guests can choose from 12 beers ($8 a pint) such as Wined Out IPA or Sugar Skull Pumpkin Ale. There’s no food available for purchase, but guests can bring their own.

WHEN | WHERE Monthly. Next date: Dec. 1 from 7-8:30 p.m., Jamesport Farm Brewery, 5873 Sound Ave., Riverhead
