The Williams family of Westbury is having a ball beating the summer heat on the Cantiague Park waterslides.

As Trinity, 7, and Matthew, 4, climb the stairs for another launch through the twisty blue and white tubes, their mom, Jennifer, 41, keeps an eye on them from a nearby bench.

"My kids love it," Williams says of the park water slides. "It's fast," Trinity smiles as she returns from another splash into the slide pool at the end of the tube.

If you're looking to cool off and stay active, parks in Nassau County and the Town of Islip offer plenty of thrills and spills on their water slides. Because each ride has a minimum height requirement, it's best to call ahead if you will be taking small children. For more information, do an Internet search on the name of each park or pool.
