1,323 acres; 3-miles of bridle paths, individual and group campsites (groups must reserve), freshwater fishing (fee, license), waterfowl hunting in season (license), picnic area, disabled-accessible playground, canoeing, rest rooms, rowboat rentals, trap and skeet. Cross-country skiing (weather permitting). Home of the Long Island Live Steamers miniature trains some summer Sundays (see www.trainweb.org/lils).
For the dogs: Much of the terrain here is flat and easy to walk. The lake is pretty cool, too. Park is dog-friendly, but doesn't have an actual dog park.
