JUNE

STAR ISLAND YACHT CLUB SHARK TOURNAMENT. Star Island Yacht Club and Marina, 59 Star Island Road, Montauk, 631-668-5052, starislandyc.com. 27th annual shark tournament featuring multiple prizes totaling more than $60,000 plus trophies. Fishing begins at 6 a.m. each day, includes award ceremony at 7:30 p.m. on June 15, captain's meeting at 7:30 p.m. on June 13, charter boats available, register. Fee: Fee: $1,000 per boat. dockage fees: $5.50 per foot up to 59 feet and $6 per foot for 60 feet and up. Dates: 6 a.m. June 14-15.

Captains' meeting 7 p.m. June 21 at VFW Post 414, Montauk Highway, Center Moriches. 5:30 p.m. is the last boat check-in before the weigh-in at Moriches town dock, register.
