420 North, which offers a combination of Italian-continental and New American fare, has opened in the Northern Boulevard space recently occupied by Oevo.
Diners can expect dishes that range from short-rib turnovers, crabcakes, shrimp po' boys, and cedar-planked salmon to fusilli Bolognese, wood-fired pizzas, seafood paella and pecan-crusted St. Peter's fish.
Dinner prices: $6 to $15 for soups, salads and appetizers; $16 to $32 for pastas and main courses. Lunch dishes: $9 to $14. 420 North is open six days starting at 11 a.m. and from 3 p.m. on Sunday. Major credit cards are accepted.
Oevo, which opened in 2008, earned a two-star rating in Newsday.
