The new 78 European Fusion, which combines Italian and French, steakhouse and New American cuisines, has opened in downtown Northport.
The sleek, contemporary newcomer takes over the Main Street corner address previously occupied by the Ship’s Inn.
Expect dishes such as chicken confit with honey-glazed carrots and black-truffle whipped potatoes; French onion soup; crabcakes with Old Bay sauce rémoulade; pancetta-stuffed pork tenderloin with an apple cider-and-orange zest gastrique; mushroom-and-pork ravioli; fried green tomatoes; asparagus fries; and bone-in strip and rib-eye steaks with wine sauce and horseradish-whipped potatoes.
Dinner appetizers are $8 to $16; dinner main courses, $21 to $49. Brunch dishes are $8 to $24.
The restaurant is open for dinner Tuesday to Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.; and for brunch on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 78 European Fusion is closed on Monday.
