Long Island’s biggest restaurant-tasting charity event is coming up and, this year, Alec Baldwin is on the menu.
Tickets are going fast for the sixth annual Long Island Hospitality Ball, which benefits Baldwin mom Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund Inc. Alec will be joined in Woodbury on June 27 by brother Billy Baldwin, Long Island Medium Theresa Caputo and more than 100 local restaurants, bakeries, caterers and beverage merchants.
The tasting tables sprawl all over Crest Hollow Country Club including, weather permitting, the resort-style pool area. Among the particpatants are: 388 Restaurant & Lounge, Roslyn Heights; American Beauty Bistro, Massapequa; Barrique Kitchen & Wine Bar, Babylon; Besito Mexican, Roslyn and Huntington; George Martin; H2O Seafood Grill, Smithtown; Honig Grill, Woodbury; Insignia Prime Steak & Sushi, Smithtown; Jewel, Melville; Limani, Roslyn; Katerina Ristorante, Great Neck; K.Pacho, New Hyde Park; Piccolo Restaurant, Huntington; Pop’s Seafood Shack & Grill, Island Park; Roots Bistro Gourmand, West Islip; Verde Wine Bar & Ristorante, Deer Park; Vincent’s Clam Bar, Carle Place; Loafers Bakery, Locust Valley; Sweet Karma Desserts, Plainview; Torta Fina, Commack and Babylon.

Alec Baldwin will act as emcee for the proceedings, bestowing honors on Garrett McGuiness, vice president of the spirits division at Southern Wine and Spirits; Sean Rose, president of Clare Rose beer distributors; and Chris D’Ambrosi, owner of Mio Posto restaurants in Hicksville and Oceanside.
Last year’s event raised more than $385,000 and was a sell out with more than 2,500 people attending.
The ball begins at 7 p.m. Advance tickets are $125 per person and include unlimited food and drink. Purchase them online or at participating restaurants. If the event does not sell out, tickets will be $175 at the door. For more information go to longislandhospitalityball.org
