Jeremy Blutstein has been named chef de cuisine at Almond in Bridgehampton, working with executive chef Jason Weiner at the three-star restaurant.
Blutstein, 35, formerly was chef at East by Northeast in Montauk. His resume also includes The Crow’s Nest in Montauk and Eataly in Manhattan.
He and Weiner have emphasized using ingredients from local farms and producers, an approach that will continue at the Bridgehampton spot, an American-style bistro in one of the town’s landmark buildings.
On April 19, Almond will host a dinner with wines from Channing Daughters Winery in Bridgehampton. The theme is five courses of dishes from countries named on President Donald Trump’s travel ban.
Cost of the dinner is $85 plus tax and tip. It’s $80 for members of Slow Food East End and the Channing Daughters Winery Club. The dinner is slated to start at 7 p.m.
