Upscale eatery Del Frisco’s Grille has announced plans to open its first Long Island location, at Walt Whitman Shops in Huntington Station, in the spring.
The restaurant will be on the Bloomingdale’s side of the property, next to The Cheesecake Factory. The 9,056-square-foot space will have 277 interior seats, a private dining room with accommodations for 40 patrons and an outdoor patio area.
Del Frisco’s Grille features a menu of classic American comfort foods in an opulent setting. That means meatloaf, pork chops, or roast chicken, all with hand-mashed potatoes. “Two-Fisted” sandwiches include a shaved prime steak sandwich au jus with horseradish sauce and a farmers market veggie burger with an Asian garden salad on the side.
There are flatbreads topped with fontina, onions and arugula, or spicy pork meatballs and fresh mozzarella. Wet-aged filet mignon, New York strip, and rib-eye steaks beckon carnivores. Parmesan lemon sole and Bay of Fundy salmon satisfy pescatarians.
On the lighter side of the menu are main-course salads with seared tuna tacos or kale and Brussels sprouts. A brunch menu includes extravagant entrees like red velvet Belgian waffles and chicken-fried steak and eggs.
You can pair your food with craft cocktails, which change seasonally, or with something from the “50 under 50” wine list. All desserts are made from scratch daily.
Casual luxury doesn’t come cheap. Prices range from $6.50 for a side salad to $45 for a 12-ounce filet mignon.
Del Frisco’s Grille will be at 160 Walt Whitman Rd. in Huntington Station.
