Antonette's Classico, which took over the Rockville Centre site long-occupied by Ristorante da Ugo, has expanded its specials to include Sicilian dishes.
The menu is populated with traditional southern Italian and Italian-American dishes, from mozzarella in carrozza, minestrone and pastas Bolognese, alla vodka and with clam sauce to red snapper Livornese, scungilli fra diavolo and shrimp Parmigiana.
Manager Nick Cobi, formerly of La Novella in East Meadow, said the new dishes include: pasta con le sarde, or bucatini with sardines, fennel, pine nuts and raisins; stuffed sardines; stuffed swordfish rolls; cod finished with olives, capers and onions; tripe marinara; stuffed pork chops; and braciola filled with cheese, eggs, basil, and capers.
Price range for pastas and main dishes is $16.95 to $39.95, for appetizers, soups and salads, $7 to $13.95.
