Long Island now has another Asian fusion spot: Miku Sushi & Asian Cuisine in Mount Sinai. The restaurant takes over the strip mall space that last hosted Sake Sushi and, before that, Ten Ten Asian Bistro. Commanding the sushi bar is chef Raymond Tan, whose prior credits include a stint at Blue Fish in Hicksville. Miku also serves Japanese, Thai, Malaysian and Indonesian kitchen dishes.
On the menu: Crispy duck roll; pan-fried Indian pancake with curry; tuna carpaccio, pepper tuna roll; chef's special White Geisha roll made with spicy salmon, tuna, mango, avocado and eel and masago; chirashi; Indian-Indonesian red curry with shrimp, chicken teriyaki and Thai pineapple fried rice. Individual entree prices range from $12.95 to $23.95, with most under $20.
