And lives. And lives.
Pacific Moon, an Asian fusion restaurant, has just opened in the former address of Perfecto Mundo Latin Fusion Bistro in Commack.
It follows the fusion festivities recently unveiled at Nikkei of Peru in Port Washington and Aiko Asian Bistro in Melville.
The latest entry in Long Island’s Asian-fusion competition is the offspring of Kobe in Jericho. That restaurant specializes in familiar Japanese fare, including sushi and sashimi, as well as hibachi preparations of steak, chicken and seafood.
Notable dishes at Pacific Moon include sushi and the house’s “signature” sushi rolls; a Thai-style crabcake with king crab meat, accompanied by pineapple salsa ($10); honey spare ribs ($9.50); grilled lemon grass prawns ($18); wok-glazed duck with ginger and scallions ($18); Thai curry with lobster tail, scallops and prawns ($22); and lobster sashimi ($32).
Pacific Moon, in the Northgate Shopping Center on the north side of Jericho Turnpike, is open every day. Hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday to Friday; noon to 11 p.m. on Saturday; and noon to 10 p.m. on Sunday. Major credit cards are accepted.
