Bay Shore restaurants deliver to Fire Island Ferry

If you’re that hungry that you can’t hold out until your ferry docks at Fire Island, consider the option of having some food delivered to you right at the docks.

Here are three restaurants – all of which happen to be Asian – that can get the job done. Keep in mind that the more notice you give – at least an hour in advance is the general rule – the better.

Mitsui Japanese Restaurant

From this downJapanese restaurant, you can order  such entrees as chicken teriyaki ($14.95) and beef yaki soba ($12.95), although sushi remains the item that travels best. Among options: a yellowtail jalapeno roll ($5.95), a dragon roll ($10.95) and a nigiri sushi deluxe assortment ($17.95). 

Aji 53

Minimum order :$15

This stylish Asian fusion restaurant offers such choices as crispy duck salad ($8), a spider roll ($9), a “mango madness” roll ($14), a sushi sashimi platter ($23) and seafood vegetable pineapple fried rice ($9).

New Peninsula

Minimum order: $15

Under new ownership, this Chinese-Japanese restaurant can set you up with boneless spare ribs ($9), tuna tataki ($10), sliced duck with ginger and scallions ($15) and such sushi bar options as an Alaskan roll ($5), an eel special roll ($10) and chirashi ($19).
