Unlimited beer and wine are part of the just-introduced "open taps & wine night," every first and third Thursday of the month in the beer hall at Plattduetsche Park Restaurant in Franklin Square.
The specials include small plates, such as mini-wursts and mini-schnitzels, cheeseburger sliders, and BLTs on pretzel rolls.
There also is a spaetzle bar, where you may choose what you'd like to go with the dumplings or noodles. The staff prepares and serves seasoned ground beef, breaded and sliced chicken, creamy shrimp and white wine sauce, hunter sauce with mushrooms, Bohemian sauce with double-smoked bacon, Gruyere cheese, crisp onions, lingonberries and seasonal vegetables.
The cost is $40 per person, plus tax and tip. The special is offered from 6 to 9 p.m. The beer hall is part of the Plattduetsche Park complex, which includes the popular German restaurant and warm-weather beer garden.
