Bella Cucina, which bills itself as an Italian American eatery and market, opened today in the Kings Park space that briefly housed Plum Crazy. Right now, according to co-owner Tom Lowder, the focus is on pizza and Italian food, with the market end in development.

Lowder made pizza at Michelangelo in Eastport and Mamma Lombardi’s in Holbrook. He and his partner Anthony Barucci offer a long list of pies that includes both the basic Neapolitan ($12.89) and Sicilian ($15) as well as such specialty numbers as a Gorgonzola salad pie ($18) and “Celtic pride” pizza topped with potato, bacon and Cheddar ($18). Pizza is also available by the slice.

Order at the counter and grab a table. The menu lists, among other items, an antipasto salad ($9.99), a variety of burgers ($4.99 to $9.99), chicken Parmigiana ($14.99) and pasta Bolognese ($10.99). The panini roster includes a grilled chicken and broccoli rabe sandwich as well as a Philly cheesesteak ($5 half; $9 full).

The place delivers within a 10-mile radius.

Bella Cucina is at 95 Pulaski Rd., Kings Park, 631-544-4441.
