Attention bearded men and plaid-clad ladies: Saturday, Oct. 29, marks the Blue Point Logger Lager Festival at Blue Point Brewing Company in Patchogue.

It’s a celebration of the release of the beer of the same name and a pseudo-Halloween party where attendees are encouraged to dress like lumberjacks. Zombie, clown or sexy lumberjacks take note of the costume contest: The big prize is beer for a year.

The brewery will serve a roster of its seasonal brews, including Oktoberfest, Saltwater Melon Oyster Lager, Schwarzbier and barrel-aged brews. It will also be pouring lagers from Sixpoint in Brooklyn, Peekskill Brewery, Threes from Brooklyn, Saranac in Utica and Long Ireland from Riverhead, among others.

Food will be provided from local vendors (no word yet on which ones). Long Island bluegrass band The Toasted Loggers and garage soul band Winstons from Brooklyn supply the tunes.

The festival runs from 2 to 6 p.m. Admission — over 21 only — costs $30 online, $35 at the door. Designated-driver tickets are $10.

The brewery notes that there’s street parking and pay-to-park at the train station. Otherwise, best options are bicycles, cabs or the LIRR. The festival is rain or shine, and the tasting room will be closed Sunday.
