Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's $24 bottle of wine actually very good

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt star in a refreshing, new production this spring: "Chateau Miraval."

It's a wine.

Their latest performance arrives in a bottle of $24 rose made at their $60-million estate in southern France. The credit on the back of the bottle reads: "Jolie-Pitt & Perrin," Perrin being their partner Marc Perrin, owner of the respected Chateau de Beaucastel in Chateauneuf-du-Pape.

Although neither Brad nor Angelina personally stomped the grapes,  Miraval Rose 2012 is very good -- light, seductively summery, pretty in salmon-pink, with hints of strawberry and citrus, ready to be sipped poolside or at a picnic. And this Brangelina union definitely is better than "Mr. and Mrs. Smith."

It's the first wine from Chateau Miraval since Brangelina bought it. Under previous ownership, the chateau's wines included one called Pink Floyd.

Miraval Rose 2012 sold out quickly upon its initial release in Europe. You can find it locally at Bottle Bargains at 1033 Fort Salonga Rd., Northport; 631-757-2187 or BottleBuys, 350 Glen Head Rd., Glen Head; 516-676-8400; discounted to  $21.15 here.
