Tickets for the annual dinner to benefit Hayground School Jeff''s Kitchen and The Jeff Salaway Scholarship Fund are on sale now.
The 2011 dinner will feature preparations by Long Island and New York City chefs to raise funds for the Hayground School in Bridgehampton, where Jeff's Kitchen is a professional kitchen-classroom for children and adults. The kitchen and scholarship are named for the late Jeff Salaway, restaurateur (Nick & Toni's, Townline BBQ) and co-founder of the school.
There will be a cocktail party followed by a wine dinner. The event will be held July 31. Cocktails, 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with dinner from 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Tickets for the cocktail event are $175; $850 for cocktails and dinner; children's tickets are $35. The dinner will be at the Hayground School at 151 Mitchell Lane in Bridgehampton.
Among the local chefs: Gerry Hayden and Claudia Fleming of The North Fork Table and Inn in Southold; Joseph Realmuto of Nick & Toni's in East Hampton; Kevin Penner of The 1770 House and The Grill on Pantigo in East Hampton; Jason Weiner of Almond in Bridgehampton; and Christian Mir of the Stone Creek Inn in East Quogue.
Manhattan chefs include Iron Chef winner Marc Forgione, Jonathan Waxman and Michael White and designer Isaac Mizrahi will be a "guest chef."
