Southampton Social Club, an American eatery and gathering place inspired by high-end speakeasy style, is slated to open on Memorial Day weekend in the Elm Street space vacated by Madam Tong's Redeux.
The establishment, complete with mahogany bar, library-lounge, fireplaces and al fresco dining, will highlight the cooking of chef Matt Creason, former executive chef at York Grill in Manhattan. His fare is expected to include such dishes such as slow-cooked Pacific halibut in a verjus beurre blanc and a chilled shellfish tower. Of course, there will be an emphasis on mixologist-crafted cocktails. Expect live music. too.
Managing partners are Ian Duke and David Hilty. Duke is co-owner of the Manhattan bar Prohibition and Lucky's Famous Burgers, with three branches in Manhattan and a fourth in Hoboken.
Southampton Social Club will be open for dinner every day and for brunch on Sunday.
