Huntington, one of Long Island’s latest-night towns, just got another wee-hours watering hole. Crabtree’s has opened in the second-story spot that overlooks the intersection of New York Avenue and Main Street, and you can eat and drink there until midnight on weekdays and 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

The Crabtree in question is chef-owner Andrew Crabtree, and his partner is Dean Philippis. The two are also, respectively, chef and owner of Piccolo in Huntington and Mill Pond House in Centerport. At Crabtree’s, the vibe and menu are more casual, and the emphasis is on drinks and the foods that go with them.

Among starters, $8 to $18: blue crab bisque; beef brisket mac ‘n’ Cheez-It (with both cheese and Cheez-It crumbs); avocado stuffed with tuna poke; little gem Caesar with pretzel croutons; and salad of marinated chickpea, cucumber, quinoa and goat feta. Sandwiches, $9 to $16, include hot roast beef baguette with gravy and mozzarella; Hawaiian kalua pork sliders with roasted pineapple relish; and a corned beef and cabbage-stuffed knish.

Mains, $15 to $28, include meatballs with egg noodles and peas; pulled pork shoulder with honey cornbread and beer barbecue sauce; and roasted salmon fillet with jasmine rice, maitake mushrooms and Irish whiskey cream sauce.

There are 13 wines by the glass, six draft beers and 10 house cocktails, such as Green With Envy (Junípero gin with basil and lime) and Second Floor Fashion (bourbon, Bénédictine and Luxardo).

Crabtree’s takes over the space that was Huntington Social and, before that, Chesterfields. The entrance is on New York Avenue, between Cactus Tree Salon and Time Source Jewelers.

Crabtree’s is at 330 New York Ave., Huntington; 631-923-0920,
