“I am looking for an attractive lady to help my business grow,” writes an orthographically challenged advertiser on Craigslist’s Long Island food-and-beverage job board. The fellow says he owns a food truck in the Melville area and “the primary purpose of this job offer is to attract business, but not to the extent that ANY of the public would be offended!!!!”
The position, which pays $10/hour, has a dress code, and that dress code is: “Wear what will attract truck and car traffic to stop and get a closer look! WITHOUT BEING OFFENSIVE!!!!!!”
Now really, in 2013 who would be offended by this?
