The fries at Rowdy Hall start as Idaho Russet Burbank potatoes. They're double-blanched and fried to order in a canola-vegetable oil blend. These delectable spuds accompany the Rowdyburger and, of course, steak frites. You can order them "wet" with brown gravy, too. Side order: $5 Photo Credit: Photo by Gordon M. Grant

Rowdy Hall, the restaurant, and Guild Hall, the theater space, are joining for a dinner-and-movie combo on Sunday.

It's the first of two such events. The food-and-flick combo is $25 per adult and $15 for children 12 and under. It includes admission to the movie and a two-course meal.

Sunday's film, at 3 p.m.,  is "The Homecoming: A Christmas Story." On Dec. 19, "It's a Wonderful Life," which also unspools at 3 p.m. The Guild Hall tickets can be be redeemed for dinner between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. at Rowdy Hall. To obtain tickets, call 866-811-4111; go online at GuildHall.org; and theatermania.com. Or visit the box office at 158 Main St. It will be open three hours before showtime.

The main-dish choices at Rowdy Hall include burgers, meatloaf, salmon, organic chicken, and roasted acorn squash; desserts include a banana-butterscotch trifle, bread pudding, apple-cinnamon crumb cake, chocolate mousse, ice cream and sorbet. Children's menu includes a grilled cheese sandwich, chicken wings and chicken fingers, all with fries.
