Organic and biodynamic Italian wines will be poured at a four-course dinner slated for March 25 at The Living Room in East Hampton.
The Living Room is the restaurant at c/o The Maidstone. It earned a three-star rating in Newsday for chef James Carpenter's cooking.
The $95 dinner includes pan-seared rouget and a spring salad, with fennel and orange supremes, paired with the 2009 Falanghina Taburno Ocone from Campania; sheep-ricotta gnocchi with morels, sweet peas and aged pecorino cheese, with the 2007 Felsina Rancia Riserva Chianti Classico; grilled rib steak with ramp butter and fava bean-baby carrot risotto, with the 1995 Felsina; and vanilla zabaglione with almond cookies and berries, matched with Felsina's 2001 Vin Santo. The wines were chosen by sommerlier Kelly Matis.
