Nick & Toni’s and Rowdy Hall, two of East Hampton’s most popular restaurants, are offering Hanukkah specials starting Sunday, Dec. 6.
The holiday dishes at Nick & Toni’s will be available from either a $40 fixed-price menu or a la carte, with main dishes either $35 or $37. The fare includes potato latkes with house-cured salmon and crème fraîche; braised beef brisket with carrots, apples, cranberries and fresh horseradish; and apple fritters with cardamom glaze from Dec. 6 to Dec. 9. Roasted beet soup, braised lamb shank with sweet potato tzimmes and pomegranate gremolata; and an olive oil, honey and apple cake, from Dec. 10 to Dec. 13. On Dec. 12, the menu will be only a la carte.
At Rowdy Hall, there will be an a la carte menu from Dec. 6 to Dec. 8, with a second special menu set for Dec. 10 to Dec. 12. Expect dishes such as roasted beet salad, braised beef short ribs with whipped sweet potatoes and root vegetables, braised brisket with honey-glazed carrots and potato cake, and apple cake with butterscotch. For lunch, a smoked salmon-and-chives omelet and brisket sandwich will be offered. Dishes are in the $11 to $28 range.
