Fall fare and autumn wines come together at Rowdy Hall next Thursday.
The Hamptonian bistro-pub hosts a Nov. 10 dinner featuring wines picked by Jacques Franey of Domaine Franey Wines & Spirits in East Hampton. Dinner starts at 6 p.m. at $75 plus tax and tip; reservations required.
Dinner includes dishes such as chanterelle mushroom tarts, Napeague oysters, Iacono Farms chicken-liver pate; garbure, the Basque soup, with a Roquefort cheese crouton; chicory salad with lardons and a soft-cooked egg; and a choice of either cassoulet with duck confit and garlic sausage or grilled eggplant with tomato confit and Provencal herbs. Dessert is a Halsey Farms apple tarte Tatin with housemade creme fraiche.
