Table 9, the Italian-continental restaurant, on Glen Cove Road, has been sold.
The new owner, Alan Kirschenbaum, said he's planning some changes in the menu and in the style of the two-floor establishment. He's considering devoting the first floor entirely to a lounge and the second floor to the dining room. The restaurant's $29.95 fixed-price menu will be kept. That menu includes main dishes ranging from tagliatelle Bolognese to sesame-crusted yellowfin tuna, linguine with clam sauce to a grilled Berkshire pork shcop with hot cherry peppers, mushrooms, onions and potato hash.
"We're not making too many changes" in the menu, he added, except perhaps to include some American-continental fare, too.
Table 9 is open Tuesday to Thursday, 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday, 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.; and Sunday, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Table 9 is at 290 Glen Cove Rd., East Hills; 516-351-0777.
