Wear a white spangled jumpsuit and blue suede shoes to Nicholas James Bistro in Merrick next Thursday night. That’s when Elvis impersonator Steve Mitchell will be belting out some of The King’s greatest hits. Chef-owner Kevin Liebov will also put out a three-course Elvis-themed prix fixe at $35 a person.
The show starts at 8 p.m., preceded by dinner at 6:30. Here’s the menu:
"Clambake" - mussels and clams provincial
"Queenie Wahine's Papaya" - baby greens, diced papaya and Granny Smith apples, pumpkin seeds, goat cheese, balsamic vinaigrette
"The Eyes of Texas" - chili
"Ring of Fire" - fried calamari, fra diavolo dipping sauce
"Hunka Hunka Bourbon Love" - shrimp, crawfish, rigatoni, Cajun brandy cream sauce
"Love Me Tender Hanger Steak" - marinated sliced steak, garlic mashed potatoes, sauteed vegetables
"Hawaiian Sunset Grilled Chicken" - jasmine rice, sauteed spinach, pineapple salsa
"Latest Flame Catfish" - Mississippi fried catfish, black eyed peas, sauteed vegetables
"Jambalaya" - diced chorizo, chicken, bell peppers, onions, rice, Cajun garlic sauce
"Tutti Fruitti" - raspberry sorbet
"Cross My Heart & Hope For Pie" - pumpkin pie
"Too Much Monkey Business" - peanut butter and banana bread pudding, jelly dollop
Elvis-themed drinks will also be in the building.
