Walk through the doors of Primo Piatto and you're greeted with a big hello and surrounded by trays piled with tomatoes. The trays are sitting around to remind you that the sauce is fresh and never out of the can, said Fabrizio Castelli, the restaurant's co-owner. Along with the fresh sauce and pasta is Grandma's secret recipe for out-of-this-world meatballs.
Ariana Castelli, co-owner of Primo Piatto, says that "being a family run- and owned-restaurant, we give people a sense of being at home. We can remember your name every time you walk through the door. We treat you as if this is our house, because you are our family."
Host Meredith Daniels joins the family in the kitchen to see how its signature dish is whipped up.
