A new Asian-fusion restaurant has checked into the Days Inn in Hicksville.

Taku II, the scion of Taku Asian Bistro in Garden City, succeeds Blue Fish at the South Oyster Bay Road address.

Sushi, especially via colorful sushi rolls, is the mainstay at Taku II. Diners also will find Chinese and Thai fare on the menu.

Selections are similar to those at the Garden City restaurant. Among the cooked dishes, expect teriyakis and tempuras, crisp calamari, vegetable gyoza, crisp duck rolls, beef or chicken negimaki, and main courses as varied as black-pepper filet mignon and Chilean sea bass with orange-miso sauce. The priciest item on the menu is $30.

The new Taku is open 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4:30 to 10:30 p.m., Monday to Thursday; 12:30 to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday; and 12:30 to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
