This winter, the Lake House has been running a weeknight deal. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, the three-star restaurant offers a three-course “special bistro tasting menu” for $30, $44 with two wine pairings. Every Thursday the menu for the next week is e-mailed to interested parties. Next week’s menu—that is, for March 2, 3 and 4—is as follows:

Warm goat cheese, onion and bacon tart with baby arugula and lemon vinaigrette
or
Steak tartare with hard-boiled egg, capers, aioli, herb crostini

Seafood cassoulet, with housemade seafood sausage, white beans and local fish
or
Boeuf alla Bourguignonne with potato puree

Apple Pithivier with French vanilla ice cream
