Patchogue, where you can eat contentedly morning, noon, and night, will be the site of a "breakfast crawl" among local restaurants on Oct. 20, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Tasters may purchase tickets for the event at patchogue.com. Ten tickets, for example, allow samples from 10 different eateries. Tickets are five for $25; 10 for $35; and 15 for $45. The event is sponsored by the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce.

"Crawlers" may present their tickets at designated tables in the restaurants to get their taste of the fare. Some restaurants will have seating for participants, some standing room. Moving from place to place after a taste is expected, as at a pub crawl.

There also will be a chamber of commerce location designated for assistance and direction. That site will be specified online and by email to pre-registered ticketholders before the date of the event.

This will be the seventh breakfast crawl in Patchogue.

If you drop into Rhum, director of operations Eric Miller said carnitas and California tacos will be served. The carnitas taco includes pork and egg; the California, avocado and egg. At Locale, restaurant manager Corey Hutchns said a breakfast pizza will be offered. Brittnie Perry, general manager of Roast Coffee & Tea Trading Company, plans to make caramel-apple cider.

Among the other participants in the event are BrickHouse Brewery, That Meetball Place, Del Fuego, Kilwin's Chocolates, Mademoiselle Patisserie, SoBol, The Tap Room, Toast Coffeehouse, Local Burger, James Joyce and The Village Idiot Pub. Shops including The Cheese Patch, Smallcakes, Sensationally Sweet and The Colony Shop also will be offering discounts to breakfast "crawlers."

Tickets also are available at The Colony Shop on Oct. 20.
