New York Beanery has opened in Amityville, the latest in a boomlet of coffee shops opening across Long Island.

With beans from the Brooklyn-based Toby’s Estate Coffee Roasters, New York Beanery offers specialty coffee drinks, matcha tea, flavored teas and bubble tea.

The menu spans breakfast and lunch as well as snacks, such as oatmeal, waffles or egg sandwiches ($3.25 to $8.95) and tartines such as one with avocado, hard-boiled egg, radishes, chives and olive oil, ($5.95 to $7.95) If you’d like something sweet like a black-and-white cookie, a scone or a cupcake, there are those, too (the average is around $2.95 for pastries). And yes, you can buy rainbow bagels here.

The décor in New York Beanery is of the moment, with reclaimed wood, chalkboard menus and recessed lighting. Wi-Fi is available and with hours from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends, there’s plenty of opportunity to get your caffeine fix.

This isn’t the only Amityville coffee shop that will open this season. After a fire closed Brownstones Coffee at 55 Merrick Rd. last year, the rebuilding is in progress, according to a post on its Facebook page last month.

New York Beanery is at 114 Merrick Rd., Amityville, 631-598-2888,
