Crop & Kettle is the new restaurant at the Long Island Marriott Hotel in Uniondale, with a focus on local ingredients.

Its motto is “Discover Local, Eat Authentic.”

The restaurant is in the former site of Champions, a sports bar, eatery and lounge.

Expect appetizers such as Long Island duck confit Rangoon with cranberry-mango chutney, charbroiled local oysters, roasted cauliflower hummus, local clam chowder, Blue Point Lager onion soup, a localized version of cioppino, the seafood stew associated with San Francisco, and bone-in “dinosaur” short rib braised with Greenport Black Duck Porter.

The restaurant also features local wines and brews, as well as cocktails.

Crop & Kettle is open for breakfast Monday to Friday from 6:30 to 11 a.m.; Saturday 6:30 a.m. to noon; and Sunday 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Lunch is daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. dinner, daily from 5 p.m. to midnight.

Main courses at dinner are in the $22 to $28 range; at lunch, $14 to $25.
