Food film festival starting at Cinema Arts Centre in Huntington

Huntington’s Cinema Arts Centre is hosting an evening of film and food on March 29. Sponsored by Slow Food North Shore (formerly Slow Food Huntington), the “Film Feast” will feature eight short food-themed films, each paired with an appropriate guest speaker and nosh and/or sip. Reserve early.

1. FILM: GotBeer: Brooklyn Brewery Tour (5:04)

SPEAKER: Joe Mollura from Brooklyn Brewery

SIP: Brooklyn Brewery beer

2. FILM: Ferment (7:07)

SPEAKER: Michael Schwartz of Bad Ass Organics, NYC

NOSH: Raw slaw and kombucha on tap donated by Bad Ass Organics

3. FILM: Community Supported Fisheries: The Basics (4:24)

SPEAKERS: Angela Andre of Dock to Dish (Montauk) and Brett Tolley from NAMA (Northeast Atlantic Marine Alliance)  

NOSH: Seafood chowder with locally caught fish; vegetarian option as well

4. FILM: Amber Waves Farm (3:58)

5. FILM: Dumpster Diver (5:06)

The festivities get under way at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday March 29 at Cinema Arts Centre, 423 Park Ave., Huntington, 631-423-7611, CinemaArtsCentre.org.

Tickets are $50 for members, $60 for nonmembers. Purchase them online or at the box office during theater hours.
