Greenport Harbor Brewing Co. to debut bottled beer

Greenport Harbor Brewing Co.'s beers will be available in bottles this month.

"We're in the process of bottling right now," co-founder Rich Vandenburgh said. He expects a rollout of 5,000 cases, including 3,000 destined for retail shelves on Long Island. "We'll have them in stores by the week of April 20."

The first bottled brews will be Greenport's Otherside IPA, Black Duck Porter, Harbor Ale and Summer Ale. Harbor Ale and Summer Ale have a suggested retail price of $10.99 for a six-pack; $12.99 for Black Duck Porter and Otherside IPA.

Vandenburgh expects to follow the Long Island introduction of the four beers with cases headed to New York City and upstate.

Greenport Harbor beers are brewed and bottled at the company's new facility n Peconic. The original brewery also is open in downtown Greenport.
