Bad Dawgs, a takeout “gourmet” frankfurter joint, is set to be unleashed on Huntington around mid-May. That's the word from franchisee Eric Josefson, who used to operate a Bad Dawgs trailer at special events.
The first New York store of a New Hampshire-based biz will serve Nathan’s dogs with a choice of 30 toppings (like chili, coleslaw, red onions and bacon). Here, pigs in blankets will be called “litter of puppies” and a “dog bowl” means mac ‘n cheese with hot dogs mixed in. Special items like the “Siberian husky dawg” features sauerkraut, Russian dressing and shredded Swiss, while the “dachshund” is simply crowned with melted Cheddar.
Bad Dawgs will be at 44 Gerard St., Huntington, baddawgsli.com
