As the countdown to St. Patrick's Day speeds up, Vitae restaurant and wine bar in Huntington hosts an Irish whiskey tasting and dinner tonight highlighting Jameson.

The cost: $45 plus tax and tip for the four-course production. Reservations are requested. Dinner starts at 7 p.m.

Pairings include a frisee, pear, Gorgonzola and toasted walnut salad with Jameson Special Reserve 12 Years Old; maple-soy glazed cured pork belly with Jameson Gold Reserve; zucchini, red onion and roasted pepper chapati, or Indian flatbread, with Jameson Select Reserve Black Barrel; and skillet-seared Wagyu flatiron steak with Jameson Limited Reserve 18 Years Old.

The guest speaker will be Sean Brown, an expert on Irish whiskey. The chef at Vitae is Steve Del Lima.
