Jetty Bar & Grill, the post-Sandy reincarnation of Bahia Social Club, opened last night in Long Beach's still-recovering West End.

Bahia’s original owners Mike Orza and John Rugolsky have been joined by partner Chris Fiumara. According to Fiumara, the place has been entirely revamped, with a “beachy feel,” a raised ceiling and a communal table made out of reclaimed wood and rails from the boardwalk, materials integral to the overall design of the place.

Chef Israel Hernandez, who was also chef at Bahia, has expanded the original tapas repertoire. On the menu: jerk chicken skewers ($6), a Cuban sandwich ($7), salted cod croquettes ($7), a burger (48), pulled pork arepas ($7) and roasted corn ($4).
