Add PattyJoe's in Kings Park to the sad list of Long Island restaurant closings.
Here's an excerpt from Newsday's 2007 review of the restaurant: "What keeps the place hopping, even on weeknights? A well-priced menu dominated by burgers, wraps, salads and sandwiches, as well as a small but well-executed roster of barbecue specialties."
Now, the space is vacant, a sign out front promising that Ciro's (formerly known as Ciro's 107, located a few blocks west) will soon relocate there. A call to Ciro's elicited the information that April 19 is the projected opening date. The new version of Ciro's will feature a full bar as well as a dessert bar. Stay tuned for updates.
