The growth of Mineola is attracting out-of-state restaurateurs like Louis and Sylvia Poatanias, who just opened Mineola Eats.
The Poatanias — who own The Green Room and Gourmet Cafe in New Jersey — serve breakfast and lunch, with an emphasis on to-go.
The menu includes omelettes, eggs and pancakes ($3.75 to $7.25), burgers and sandwiches ($2.50 to $9.95) and entrees like roast turkey and sirloin steak ($8.25 to $19.95.)
Mineola Eats is on a transitioning corner on the same block as Chef’s Corner Cafe that opened in 2011 and P.S. Burgers, which opened in 2012.
It’s across the street from the new Burrito Blvd. A coffee shop is opening around around the corner before the end of the summer.
Mineola Eats is open every day from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is located at 85 Mineola Blvd., 516-741-0379, mineolaeats.com
