The dish on Long Island's restaurant and food scene.

Break out the baked clams and pass the chicken scarpariello; a new La Parma has docked in Port Washington.

The week-old member of the family-style Italian chain (with links in Williston Park, Huntington and Oceanside) occupies the former digs of 415 Main. General manager Gerald Gralto said the restaurant's waterside location will inspire plenty of seafood specials: raw oysters, steamers and shrimp scampi. Once the warm weather arrives, there will be outdoor seating for around 60. Docking, too.

Which means that come summer, the salt air in Manhasset Bay should carry with it a whiff of garlic.
