If you've got a hankering for the ricotta pancakes, cheeseburger with hand-cut fries or Philadelphia roasted pork sandwich at Relish in Kings Park (one of Newsday's Best 100 Restaurants of 2015 and among the 10 best Cheap Eats restaurants), you'll have to delay gratification. Relish is closing for its annual summer vacation and, over the next week, will get a sprucing-up, said chef co-owner Steve Cardello. When the restaurant reopens, on Tuesday, Sept. 1, it will be at 7 a.m., an hour earlier than before.

Meanwhile, a block away, The Reel Kitchen, Cardello's seafood market and takeout shop, remains open, turning out clam chowder, fish tacos, lobster rolls and whatever the week's haul provides.

The Reel Kitchen is at 112 Main St., Kings Park, 631-460-4175.
