Restaurant Week coming to Huntington, Farmingdale, Port Washington and Long Beach

If you plan right, you can dine out for deals all month long, as restaurant weeks roll out across Long Island, starting with Huntington and Farmingdale followed by Port Washington and Long Beach. Here’s what you need to know. Plan on booking reservations accordingly.

Oct. 9-16: Dine Huntington

So many restaurants participate, it may be worth it to book tables early or script a parking strategy during what promises to be among the busiest dining weeks of the fall. Black & Blue Chophouse offers three courses for $27.95, which includes a choice of starter such as clams casino or tuna tartare, mains like chicken saltimbocca or a 16 oz. strip steak and dessert from Hometown Bake Shop. On Saturday, the special menu is only available until 7 p.m. Another participant, Ting Modern Asian Cuisine offers soup or salad, starters like chicken lettuce wraps or gyoza and entrees such as sushi rolls or kung pao chicken for the same price. Oct. 10-16: Farmingdale Restaurant Week

Seventeen restaurants will participate, each with its own deals. Dining specials run for the full dinner service except for Saturday, which is limited — from 5 to 7 p.m. Christians Parkside, Caracara Mexican Grill, That Meetball Place and Library Cafe offer three courses for under $25, while the newly opened Vespa Italian Kitchen & Bar and The Main Event offer three courses for under $28. Others such as Hush Bistro, Jade Palace and La Bottega suggest asking for restaurant week menus upon arrival. Find out more at farmingdalerestaurantweek.com

Oct. 16-23: Port Washington Restaurant Week

It’s the town’s first restaurant week, with participating restaurants offering dining deals for $25 throughout dinner service, with the exception of 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday. Sullivan’s Quay presents appetizers such as little neck clams, entrees like lamb shanks and desserts including a blondie with salty caramel gelato for dessert. Diwan Indian Restaurant and Wild Honey on Main, are also participating. Newcomer The Wild Goose will join the festivities if it secures permits in time to open. Oct. 21-30: Long Beach Restaurant Week

As the town continues its scheduling of events past the summer season, the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce sponsors a late-October restaurant week with specials like $21.99 for three courses at Atlantica at the Allegria Hotel, with dishes like pumpkin soup, short rib borscht and apple tart with vanilla ice cream. Lola’s Kitchen offers three courses for $23.99, while Fisherman’s Catch has a three-course menu for $23.99 weekdays and until 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
