Pie maker Danna Abrams is now supplying baked goods to Southdown Coffee in Huntington. Abrams won our hearts and stomachs when she was head baker at Kerber’s Farm in Huntington. Since leaving last year, she’s been in charge of desserts at Black & Blue Seafood Chophouse in Huntington.
Southdown Coffee is carrying Abrams’ cupcakes (flavors include salted-caramel and double chocolate, $3.50) and individual pies ($6). Key-lime pie is available every day. In addition, a seasonal pie (right now it’s strawberry-rhubarb) is offered Thursday to Sunday.
Abrams’ confections share counter space with croissants, brioche and savory pastries from Fiorello Dolce of Huntington and cookies from Sugar Rush in Centerport. Sweets aside, Southdown Coffee roasts its own beans and has a dining / sipping area.
