Wines from Chile and Argentina will be poured at a five-course dinner slated for Aug. 20 at Spuntino Wine Bar & Italian Tapas in Garden City.

Executive chef Ryan Keough's menu includes grappa-cured salmon with 2013 TerraNoble Chardonnay Unoaked; red snapper with roasted tomato vinaigrette, with 2013 Cousino-Macul Sauvignon Gris; seared duck breast with a cherry-balsamic vinegar glaze, with 2013 Bodega Renacer Cabernet Sauvignon; braised veal short ribs with white-corn polenta, with 2013 Bodega Renacer Enamore, a red blend; and manchego cheese with fig chutney, paired with 2011 Cousino-Macul Late Harvest, a dessert wine.
Separately, Spuntino also is celebrating National Peach Month with three specials: grilled peach bruschetta, on warm crostini with mascarpone cheese; a peach crostata, with salted caramel and vanilla gelati; and peach sangria.
