Tomorrow night (Friday April 16), La Plage will be hosting a wine dinner … and you supply the wine. There’s no corkage fee (usually $20), and this enticing-sounding menu:
Beet Salad with mesclun, haricots verts, goat cheese and Dijon vinaigrette
Beef carpaccio with mesclun, shaved Manchego, truffle oil
Tomato tartlet with fresh mozzarella, basil chiffonade
Octopus salad with cucumber, Meyer lemon, arugula
Tuna carpaccio with lemon, capers and olive oil
Seared hanger steak with roasted fingerling potatoes, asparagus, shallots, red-wine reduction
Pan-roasted fish with chorizo broth and spring vegetables
Oven-roasted organic chicken with lemon-pea risotto
Chocolate mousse cake
Mixed-berry “soup” with lemon sorbet and almond tuille
Coconut rice pudding with passion fruit sorbet and pineapple salsa
