A drive by and a phone call to this 14-month-old steak house lead us to the conclusion that Nick & Charley Steak House is no longer. (The results were, respectively, empty and dark, and “has been disconnected.”) The Nick of the name was Niko Milovcevich, a veteran of Peter Luger. There never was a Charley.
Peter M. Gianotti was impressed by the restaurant’s porterhouse and filet mignon. “Protein without pretense” is how he characterized Nick & Charley.
