Yeehaw! Saddle up and point your pony in the direction of Southampton for the first Long Island Food Truck Rodeo, which kicks off Thursday, July 9, at 3 p.m.

The festival takes place on the grounds of the Southampton Elk Lodge, on Route 27 between Tuckahoe Lane and Magee Street. More than 20 different food trucks will rotate through the four days. Among the trucks scheduled to appear are:

Grill Boys Food Truck (specialty burgers and sandwiches, fries)

Island Empanada ("A taste of the islands in every bite!")

Nice Buns (specialty sliders)

Whole Le Crepe (sweet and savory crepes)

Kannoli Kings (creative cannoli)

Soda-licious (chuck wagon dispensing old-fashioned soda)

The Inn Spot ... Out! (food truck from Hampton Bays' Inn Spot on the Bay)

Fried Up (fried Oreos and zeppole)

The event will be hosted by DJ Chef Marc Weiss, the Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen champ who slices, dices and sautes while he spins. Live musical acts will include the soul-funk-rock-dance band Noiz. Southampton Publick House will be selling beer.

There won't be any broncos to ride or calfs to rope at the rodeo -- in fact, pets of any kind are prohibited -- but there will be raffles to enter and crafts to buy. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and relax under what promises to be clear weekend skies.

General admission is $5 (kids under 6 are free) and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to East End Hospice. VIP tickets ($20) allow holders to hang out with the entertainers.

The rodeo runs from 3 to 8 p.m. on July 9, and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. July 10-12. Southampton Elk Lodge is at 605 County Rd. 39, Southampton. For more information, go to longislandfoodtruckrodeo.com.
