Special to Newsday - Putting a grown-up spin on the concept of trick-or-treating by way of a bar crawl, Long Island Social Events will soon lead a Halloween-inspired outing through Huntington Village that will bring its costumed attendees on a door-to-door, haunted holiday stroll and “treats” consisting of deals on adult beverages.
Taking place on Saturday, Nov. 1, it’s to be a six-hour saunter (2 p.m.-8 p.m.) that asks all participants to wear a costume. The announced crawl schedule has the day starting at Christopher's (8 Wall St.; from 2 p.m.-3:30 p.m.), then moving to Finley's of Green Street (43 Green St.; from 3:30 p.m.-5 p.m.), with the next venue being Mary Carroll's (1 Clinton Ave.; 5 p.m.-6:30 p.m.) before the whole haunted procession reaches its terminus at Rookies Sports Club (70 Gerard St.; 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m.).
Each participating location will be offering two-for-one drinks as the event special, and the junket will also include a 50/50 raffle and costume contest. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door. For online purchase and more information visit longislandsocialevents.com.
